Our Mission

future histories is the premier literary magazine at Tufts University. We publish semi-annual issues in print and online to showcase the creative writing, studio art, and photography of Tufts students.

For the marginalized, the homogenous narrative of the western literary canon represents erasure and oppression. Our publication is intent rewriting the future of that canon, amplifying the voices of the unheard to craft a new, inclusive, and uplifting creative history.

At Tufts, future histories provides an encouraging space for writers and artists to share, connect, and collaborate, as well as an opportunity to learn more about the process of creating and printing a publication.
